Association manager

Maartje Scheepstra is the club manager. She has been working in Zuidoost for over eight years, inspiring residents to play hockey, introducing them to the sport, and teaching them all the life skills that come with club life.

As a pedagogical club manager, Maartje is primarily involved in making the club run effectively by: coordinating training sessions, creating and organizing an annual program, pedagogical training plan, delivering training, building a training framework, organizing membership recruitment activities, coaching matches, and maintaining contact with children and parents, schools, the municipality, organizations such as the Youth Fund for Sports and Culture, and other stakeholders.

As a former international hockey player, Maartje knows better than anyone how essential sport and exercise are for a child's development.

Dealing with winning and losing, working together, accepting your own and each other's mistakes, but above all cheering together and celebrating goals!

Every child deserves that chance.

As Pedagogical Association Manager, Maartje not only coordinates the technical aspects of hockey, but also focuses on the broader development of the child.
