The current Club

Amsterdam Dynamics

The founding board changed the name to Amsterdam Dynamics in 2021. The start-up to a 'real club' was of course difficult because this took place precisely during the Corona pandemic, when group sports were not possible for a long time. With the support of the Hockey Foundation, this was still possible, and in 2022 Amsterdam Dynamics was admitted as a member of the KNHB; this means that our teams can participate in the official hockey competition.

Amsterdam Dynamics stands for friendship, fun and sportsmanship. It offers children a chance to make new friends in the neighborhood. Together we as members, their parents with the board and the volunteers create the club culture. We train on Tuesdays and Fridays, offer urban hockey for the youth and trim hockey for adults and have 'Foody Friday' where we all eat at the club. All this under the coordination of our own Association Manager and former hockey international Maartje Scheepstra. [email protected].

Field

Because we are currently playing hockey on a ¾ field, the youth teams from O10 onwards cannot play their home games at home; a whole field is needed for that. Because the Nelson Mandela Park is part of the area development plans, we moved with the ¾ field and a beautiful 'cafeteria' that we received from our sponsor Hondsrug, to a new - again temporary - location on Darlingstraat 6 in the D-buurt on Friday 28 February 2025. At the moment we are working hard with the Municipality to get a permanent location in Zuidoost, with a whole field and a real clubhouse. Do you want to think about what that new location will look like? Then register for the 'Location' working group at [email protected]

Financial

At the moment, we cannot exist without the financial support of the Hockey Foundation and Rabobank, which will decrease in the coming years. Would you like to help Amsterdam Dynamics to continue to exist by sponsoring with your company or with a personal donation? Then look below at Sponsoring & Donations.

Members

At this moment (2025) we have about 50 youth members and 10 senior members. From the youth members we have also made 2 teams that play competition. Do you also want to play hockey? Then look at Become a member, the first 3 trial lessons are free!

Volunteers

The club is led by the Board. In addition, we need many volunteers to keep the club running!
